The stage is getting set for the show. The fans are all amped up for the matches. It is turning out to be engrossing to see how and who is going to win the Rumble match, with no outright favorite for 2024’s edition.

Another former Royal Rumble winner Rey Mysterio is set to return ahead of the PLE

The time for WrestleMania season is set to arrive in WWE. This is a time when each superstar looks to have a place on the card. Recently, it was informed that WWE legend Rey Mysterio is set to return to SmackDown after suffering a knee injury in late 2023.

Mysterio has been out of action ever since the attack by Santos Escobar. The Master of 619 then underwent knee surgery afterward. Moreover, his last match was against Logan Paul at Crown Jewel, where he dropped the United States Championship. Rey might return to WWE programming for the special New Year’s Revolution episode of SmackDown this week.

It is going to be interesting to see the return of the Legendary Luchador in WWE. He has some unfinished business with his former protégé, Escobar. With the Royal Rumble ahead, there is a high possibility of seeing explosive action on SmackDown this week.
